Country Sunflowers TCC #21
Country & Sunflowers
![]() | ||
I really enjoyed creating for this week's challenge at
The Card Concept! Sunflowers look so great with black and white checks. Throw in a little lace for a country feel and I can smell the jams being made.
I stamped the Sunflowers image in versamark, heat embossed with white powder, colored with copics in yellows, greens and brown tones and fussy cut.

Painted Poinsettias AAA Cards #23
Game 23 Play with Watercolors

We're having more fun with watercoloring at AAA Cards! I've switched it up from usual Distress inks and an aqua brush. This week I'm using Twinkling H2Os in spiced pumpkin and olive vine and a paint brush. (Also some old LuminArte in Sunflower)
I first stamped the image in Distress Ink crushed olive onto watercolor paper. I then added a little water to the twinkling H2O containers and painted inside the lines with an actual water brush! So easy! Gold micro beads were added to the poinsettias centers and splatters from the brush in each color.

With Gratitude
...and what a lovely sketch it is!
I've turned the design so that the hollyhocks could be upright.
This is a versatile sketch that I will go to often!

a New Little Someone
It's always good to have a card or two in your arsenal for baby showers and such.
My raindrops is partially sponged with a Balzer Designs template of a shinning star in Distress Ink worn lipstick. The umbrella is a memory box die and the little flowers are punched with Martha Stewarts small hydrangea punch. The sentiment is by Verve.

Easy Peasy Valentine
F4A207 Free 4 All challenge over at Splitcoaststampers the hostess says "With a week left before Valentine's Day, let's see your Valentines! Easy Peasy...and so lovey dovey!"
This was very easy peasy with a leftover Sizzix die cut primitive heart, a ready made rose and some double tied ribbon. The flourish is part of die by Impression Obsession.

Happy Valentine's Day
It's that time of year and for the MOJO MONDAY sketch 329 I've gone vintage. I stamped the Verve "Thankful Accents" wreathe onto vellum and heat embossed with Pearlescent Ivory powder. Next are the die cut with Sizzix primitive hearts, burlap and brown button. The Verve sentiment is stamped onto vellum as well.

HOLLY - tini
I wandered over to CAS(E) this Sketch and was fascinated by this week's sketch. I love the shape of Martini glasses and chose to go with it because that's what I see in the sketch. I used a sizzlits die and cut the top and base to include the sentiment. My bubbles are not sparkling as they should but I'm sure you get the drift.
HAVE A HOLLY JOLLY SEASON!

Give Thanks
It seems there's something extra special about this time of year. The kids are back to school, the weather (for some) has a fresh feel, the pumpkins are making their way for fall and weddings. September was my wed month. The Inspiration Challenge site at Splitcoaststampers is William Sonoma which is loaded with beautiful things. I used two Hero Arts background stamps that I thought captured the elegance of my inspirations.

Tea and Flowers
Tuesday Trigger: Now That's My Cup of Tea!
For today's challenge at Tuesday Trigger, I was inspired by the delicate colors on the pretty white porcelain cup with the soft blue saucer. I wanted to show the bolder side of the flowers. My blue pearls pollen represents the saucer. the chevrons are the opposite of the soft curves of the set.

Peace Lily
Sketch Challenge CS389 {6/13/12} by Korin (sweetnsassystamps) – beautiful sketch!
I love all sorts of
flowers and I wanted to find one that has the CAJUN
CRAZE and CHERRY COBBLER colors. I used the closest color I had to BAJA BREEZE
and LUCKY LIMEADE.
I used a punch bunch Mega Lily Petals (which
has four sized petals) punched six times and used the largest ones for my lily.
I used a large stylus to stir and cup each petal, painted with spiced pumpkin twinkling
H2O, and distress ink fired brick to get as close to cajun and cherry as
possible. The stamen is lucky limeade card
stock.
Here is the inspiration for my lily (from google images)
