Happy Easter AAA#36

Easter Colors with a touch of Glitter

Easter colors are sweet and fun and bring hope for new beginnings. I want to be in a field filled with flowers right now but that's not happening. So, I've used a small flower stamp and sentiment from Verve's 'Egg-stra Special' set today. I stamped the flower in Hero Arts 'cup o' joe ink and stamped the image (as you can see) many times. I then colored them with copic markers in the soft colors. I added  turquoise stickles to the centers on the panel and filled in the background with a light green copic marker. The bunny is an impression obsession stamp.

WE HOPE TO SEE YOUR EASTER COLORS CREATION AT AAA CARDS !

Rain AAA#34

Rain/Watercolor

This week at AAA Cards we want to do a rain dance to bring on Spring and warmer weather and flowers! For my card I used a stencil and Distress Stain in tumbled glass to create the look of a down pour. The Magenta wood stamp "Tall Solid Flowers" was inked up with DI peeled paint, spiced marmalade and wild honey and spritzed with water. I added dots/rain drops along the stems with Stickles "waterfall".
Come join us and upload your CAS rain/watercolor to the gallery at AAA Cards!

Hello Orange Birdie!

Orange You Glad You're CAS?

I LOVE ORANGE! It makes me happy with most of my senses. I wear the color, eat and drink the fruit and it's my happy color for summer. I've never seen an orange bird but that didn't stop me from stamping with versamark and heat embossing in white on the orange recycled glossy paper.

Stop by AAA Cards and show us some ORANGE!

Products used: memory box Bird stamp and dies, WPlus9 sentiment, WPlus9 leaves from the "Spring Blooms" stamp and die set, Sizzix die cut vellum leaves.

I am also entering this card in The Paper Players and Happy Little Stampers challenges.

My Heart AAA Cards #32

Game 32 LOVE

Welcome all to the new schedule of CAS cards every two weeks! I'm loving it and hope you will as well. Today's card is for someone in my family. I have not decided who yet. I started by die cutting a panel with a Spellbinders heart, adding some left over striped designer paper to the main card base and popped up the top panel. The cute pink button was too hard to resist. I'm hoping the earth tone leaves can help it pass as a card for hubby. The sentiment is by Simon Say's Stamp (handwritten borders) and I fussy cut and added a few sequins.

Plaid Holly AAA Cards #30

Game 30 Holiday Plaids

I love all the plants and flowers for the holidays. Today Holly is tops. I've used the holly part from a Sizzix Bigz extra long "Candle with Holly & Bow" die. This holly is a good size to be the focal point.
I've enhanced the plaid holly with a fussy cut 'Christmas Holly' by Rubber Stampede colored with copics.

Autumn Colors AAA Cards #24

Game 24 Autumn Colors

You just can't resist the colors of Autumn! Fall puts on a majestic show of warm, bright and dazzling colors.  I die cut the leaves with impression obesession fall leaves die #DIE030-S and painted them with Twinkling H2Os. The woodgrain background label was colored with gelatos and I blended the colors by rubbing with fingers over the embossed background. Please see Tiffany's video.

I used Lil' inker "Frames & Flowers set #59926173 for the woodgrain label. The sentiment is WPlus9

Painted Poinsettias AAA Cards #23

Game 23 Play with Watercolors

We're having more fun with watercoloring at AAA Cards! I've switched it up from usual Distress inks and an aqua brush. This week I'm  using Twinkling H2Os in spiced pumpkin and olive vine and a paint brush. (Also some old LuminArte in Sunflower)
I first stamped the image in Distress Ink crushed olive onto watercolor paper. I then added a little water to the twinkling H2O containers and painted inside the lines with an actual water brush! So easy! Gold micro beads were added to the poinsettias centers and splatters from the brush in each color.

Happy Fall -AAA Cards #21

Game 21 Fussy Cutting

I do enjoy a bit of fussy cutting sometimes. Just in case you are not familiar with the term 'fussy cutting' it is using scissors to cut out shapes and/or designs in stead of die cuts and punches.

My oak leaf stamp is very old but I love it. I used the rock and roll technique to add the browning edges to the leaves. I first stamped the leaf in the main colors (DI fired brick and crushed olive) and then rolled the stamp around the edges in DI brushed corduroy.

I can't wait to see YOUR fussy cutting in the AAA Cards Gallery!

Golden Anniversary

Julia's bright and dazzling card is inspiring in so many ways! I needed a fall anniversary card, and so, I've used Verve's "Feel the Sun" set quote stamp as my sunny inspiration along with a Sizzix Bigz "primitive hearts #2" die. The flourish is Impression Obsession "heart and flourish" die.

Blue Moon Wishes - AAA Cards #19

 AAA Cards

#19 ENJOY Moon Sketch

I never think about the moon in greeting cards so this was a welcomed challenge. I'm not good at sponging to create scenes so I used a memory box "Cottage Globe" stamp that I could create a background for the moon. I stamped the image with Memento 'Nautical Blue' ink and then I placed a dot on the stamp over the area where I wanted the moon behind the cottage. I then added a little shading with a C1 cool gray Copic marker. The craters are a byproduct of the paper dot displacing the blue ink. The circle behind the square is leftover from stamping the cottage in practice.
