Spring Birthday

My inspiration today comes from Peggy's gorgeous gallery at Splitcoaststampers. I'm always in need of Birthday cards so I use the challenges at SCS. The flowers are stamped and heat embossed in white and fussy cut. I used a "Clementine" stamp by the Artful Stamper. The frame is die cut with QuiKutz nesting dies and the center is a Taylored Expressions Quatrefoil die cut to fit inside.

Watercolor Pom Pom

The Wonder of Watercolor Challenge at Moxie Fab World

 ........ Color without boundaries ......
I was playing around with my newest purchase of this Hero Arts "Pom Pom Flower" stamp and some Distress inks and actually loved the results! The pillow colors are very intriguing.  I'm usually happiest when the colors are inside the line, but hey "Be happy! it's all good! (sentiment by PrintwWorksCollection). The border is a QuicKutz Cookie Cutter "Flowers" die. Also a black brad added to center of flower.

Orchids

What a romantic site!
I was inspired by two orchid plants from An Angel at My Table websit for the Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoaststampers.

I used a Marvy pansy punch to make the orchids by trimming the punched pieces to look more like the orchid petals. I also used the memory box tulip petals dies for the centers of the orchids. All parts were punched out of shimmer white card stock and painted with “twinkling H2O’s Pink Azalea” and LuminArte Black Cherry and Sunflower for the center portions. Several styluses were used and a QuicKutz cookie cutter Vine die.

This card is also for the
Mixed Media Challenge at SCS - MIX2 It's Not Hard To Resist
Embossing Resist technique

I first stamped the damask background onto white card stock and heat embossed with white powder. I then stamped the script and sponged the entire panel with Canary and Pink inks from pads.

top is the Marvy Pansy punched
center is the punched piece cut to look similar to orchid petals
bottom are the memory box Tulip Petals used for center

SCS Inspiration Challenge 333

This week’s Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoaststampers comes from BHLDN ~ Inspired by the Dutch word for “to keep,” as well as countless tales from family and friends of the extraordinary weddings they’d been part of, the founders of BHLDN began dreaming up something new.

It was fun checking out this site and to find endless inspiration. This is high season for weddings and it's good to keep cards on hand. The heart card uses three Spellbinders heart dies,  Sizzix embossing folders and a 3-D flower Bigz die. The white vase went together quickly using a Spellbinders tag for vase, QuicKutz vine die and EK Success daisy punch. I can  change the sentiment to Happy Birthday if necessary.
