Celebrate Watercoloring AAA Cards Game #27

Game 27 - Play with Watercolors

This week for playing with watercolors I've painted the Twinkling H2Os directly on to the Hero Arts Large Floral Background Stamp. My colors are Pink Azalea and Sunflower. I added water to the containers and applied with a paint brush and stamped. Can't get much easier than that!

Painted Poinsettias AAA Cards #23

Game 23 Play with Watercolors

We're having more fun with watercoloring at AAA Cards! I've switched it up from usual Distress inks and an aqua brush. This week I'm  using Twinkling H2Os in spiced pumpkin and olive vine and a paint brush. (Also some old LuminArte in Sunflower)
I first stamped the image in Distress Ink crushed olive onto watercolor paper. I then added a little water to the twinkling H2O containers and painted inside the lines with an actual water brush! So easy! Gold micro beads were added to the poinsettias centers and splatters from the brush in each color.

Cool Color Palettes

For the INSPIRATION CHALLENGE at Splitcoaststampers
the hostess takes us to the DESIGN SEEDS website filled with beautiful color palettes!

For my first card I used a Balzer Designs template and distress inks in earth tones for the background. The dogwoods were stamped twice die cut and fussy cut the second layer to pop up.I don't know why I chose to make flowers in these tones but I love the result.

I'm making a number of "Thinking of You" for homebound members of my Church. Keeping it CAS makes it easier to mass produce. Here I used my aqua brush and Twinkling H2Os in Pink Azalea and Olive Vine and LuminArte black cherry. The Lilies image is stamped in Memento Rich Cocoa.

Give Thanks

It seems there's something extra special about this time of year. The kids are back to school, the weather (for some) has a fresh feel, the pumpkins are making their way for fall and weddings. September was my wed month. The Inspiration Challenge site at Splitcoaststampers is William Sonoma which is loaded with beautiful things. I used two Hero Arts background stamps that I thought captured the elegance of my inspirations.
