Neon Holly and Berries

Check out the Keen on Neon Challenge at Moxie Fab World

Cath says “bright and bold, fun and flirty, neon is one hot trend.
From fashion to home decor, jewelry to stationery, summer to winter, and everything in between,
the nuances of neon come in a rainbow of styles that just might surprise you.”
I’ve used three of my favorite neon colors to create a new kind of Holiday card for me.
It’s fresh and fun and I’ll be using the neon colors more!

The holly with berries is from a Sizzix Bigz die #655532 and
the sentiment is by “My Sentiments Exactly!”

Blue Christmas Cottage

Stamping onto textured card stock can be good and bad. I love the texture because the otherwise solid sky has a look of a snowy night and stars shining through. The stamp is memory box Cottage Cabin stamped in Stampin Up's Midnight Muse. Frosted stickles made the ink bleed but I can deal with it. Imperfectly handmade!

Mother Teresa message for Christmas

Simplified tag

After being away for a while I found myself behind for this month’s
Christmas Card Challenge over at Splitcoaststampers.
I thought that a tag with a message for the holidays and all days was good to feature. The quote is Mother Teresa’s. Making flowers is a favorite of mine and the Tim Holtz tattered poinsettia dies makes it so easy. I added white chalk ink on the petals of the poinsettia to give a frosty look. Mail it, hand it out, pass it on or hang on the tree. It's all good. The tags measure 4"x 5.25" and die cut using Spellbinders Curved Rectangles.

Chrysanthemum

Mums are fall flowers!

So, for the Clean and Simple Challenge at Splitcoaststampers I wanted to break away from the fall leaves and pumpkins for this card. The colors in the pinterest inspiration photo allowed for the use of red, yellow and green. I used three different punches for the flower that I punched out in yellow and then used a water brush dipped in SU Raspberry Ripple to color the petals. I added a Sizzix tattered leaf, and the center is a 8" x 1/4” strip of green card stock, snipped and quilled. I used a Sizzix scallop die and layered the positive and negative cuts in the border.
