CAS172 Love

Clean and Simple Challenge at Splitcoaststampers
CAS172 Theme Challenge "Love"

I've been wanting to use this old stamp forever but could never make it look right to satisfy myself. I love the way it came out this time.
You may or may not be able to see the texture in the stamped image. I inked the STAMPCRAFT "Fancy Heart" stamp in ColorBox Chalk ink Rouge and pressed onto a textured piece of card stock first and then stamped onto my panel. I added some crystal stickles and a heart shaped gem to complete the love theme. The sentiment is from the Verve "Thankful Hearts" set.

CAS171 Happy Graduation!

CAS171 Sketch Challenge inspired by Tilly

It's that time of year and my first niece is a candidate for the degree of Master of Business Administration and she is also the first in our family to do so.

I am so very proud of her. This card is not for her. I will make her a special pink and green one because those are her favorite colors.

We have a large extended family and this card will go to someone else.

I printed the Doodle Pantry Grad Hat image onto black card stock and as the paper was coming out I sprinkled white embossing powder and heated. The sentiment stamps are from Verve's Dare to be set.

CAS170 Divided Panels

For today's CAS challenge at Splitcoaststampers ...

I really like the way the divided panels look on cards. It can add interest to any solid image and extend the wide or height if need be.

I have posted a short tutorial on the bow here.

This bow will never fall off the card.  See photo tutorial here

Scatter Joy

CFC52:  This week CAS-ual Fridays would like to see projects with birds.

this is also for Splitcoaststampers Free for All Challenge

F4A116...Tall, yet small

Spring is bringing all of the beautiful birds back north and their songs are wonderful to awaken to in the morning.

I masked a panel to sponge the circle in Memento Cantaloupe and Distress ink tumbled glass and stamped the Santa Rosa, CA image onto the circle and again on scrap paper to cut out and pop up the blue jay. I added liquid pearls in white opal to buds and the Martha Steward scalloped border punched on the bottom.

Blooming Wonderful Day!

TLC376  "Paper Piecing" at Splitcoaststampers
DPDC23 Doodle Pantry May Challenge

I like paper piecing and I chose the hardest image to paper piece. The Mini Roses digi image from Doodle Pantry was perfect, so I copied it four times onto gray, green, red and the light green bazzill card stock and used a craft knife to cut away the negative space in the green leaves and cut out the red roses to glue in place. The sentiment is from the digi set as well. What a lovely set with lots of choices for sentiments.

CFC51 Happy Birthday!

Happy 1st Birthday CAS-ual Fridays!

I wanted to use up some leftover die cuts from other projects for the challenge because you can't have enough birthday cards. I love the way Spellbinders dies from different sets layer so well. The memory box happy birthday stamp fit perfectly for a CAS elegant card.
