Christ's love ...

My card today is for the Clean and Simple Challenge at Splitcoaststampers.
The challenge is to make a tent card using one of two tutorials in the SCS resources.

The grandkids are coming to town and I am a little behind with the Christmas Card Challenge quota. I like being three months ahead but summer has been very busy.

The sentiment is a Doodle Pantry digi and I printed it onto the card base. I used a Spellbinders circle for the opening and added the leftover red embossed wreath from the cards below to the opening. The poinsettia is made using a QuicKutz die.

The ornament is made with the center portion
of the stamped and embossed image

Merry Christmas Tree

We are having a particularly busy summer with travel, construction and visitors. I was so far ahead of the game for Christmas cards in the early part of the year but now I find myself scrambling to meet my quota for August.

For the monthly Christmas Card Challenge over at Splitcoaststampers I've submitted these 20 cards for September. Yes, I need to work on August but those cards will be a mix.

The tree stamp by "Outlines Rubber Stamp Co. Inc." is a little beat up from stamping 60 times for all the parts. The sentiment is memory box stamp and the star is memory box die. I've used up a bunch of scrap card stock and designer paper. The card measures 3.5" x 6". I've also made envelopes because I  have an inordinate amount of designer paper.

merci beaucoup

It's QFTD121 at SCS and our new Queen is  Sophie LaFontaine.

Sophie's gallery is like taking a walk through the Musee d’Orsay in Paris. Sophie is such a wonderful artist and there are so many inspirational cards in her gallery! I chose this lovely card to CASE:
My embossing is a little difference but I kept the hydrangea, color and sentiment.

Card Ingredients: Cuttlebug ef, MS hydrangea and leaf punches, verve sentiment, Recollections gems, bazzill purples.

Christmas in July

Sketch Challenge 393 {07/11/12} at SCS

Taylor you draw up a mighty fine sketch for today's challenge!  I still have about 80 Christmas cards to make by November and this will be one of 25 for August 2012 in the Christmas card challenge at SCS.

This card is 3.5” x 6” and it fits in the bill paying envelope nicely. I stamped the OUTLINES RUBBER STAMP CO. INC. Tree – four times on various scrap pieces and cut out parts and popped up to add interest and dimension. I then added a popped up memory box die star and memory box sentiment.

Caroline's Anniversary

Featured Stamper for Sunday, July 8, 2012 at SCS

After dissecting an otherwise gorgeous wedding invitation in an effort to clean out my file drawers I realized that there was no why I could ever throw this pretty paper and card stock out.

I was purging on the 4th of July and realized it was Caroline's third wedding anniversary. We had such a great time at the wedding, and I kept everything that was sent to us. Now I must send it as a late Happy Anniversary.

Spellbinders Flower Creations, Stampin' Up Modern Label and Word Window and JustRite's sentiment were used.

CAS177 Get Well Butterfly

CAS177 Color Challenge at Splitcoaststampers.

Our challenge is to use Olive, Navy and White in a CAS card. I purchased a Balzer Designs Mini Butterflies 6"x6" Template and was waiting for an opportunity to open the package. I stenciled the butterfly with Distress ink shabby shutters and the detail layer in Stampin' Up new In color "Midnight Muse. I used Tim Holtz' blending tool to sponge the solid portion of the butterfly and a makeup sponge for the blue stencil detailing. I then cut it out and gave the butterfly a little curling with my fingers. I adhered with Glue Glider.
The striped dp is from Making Memories Kids 6x6 Pad Ethan. Liquid pearls was used for the eyes and antennae.

Two Circles of Kindness

CFC59: Use 2 circles in your Clean And Simple design at CAS-ual Fridays
I love my new Balzer Designs Mini Butterflies 6"x6" Template. The first layer for the butterfly is sponged using Distress ink wild honey and the detail layer is Distress ink dusty concord. I cut out the butterfly and adhered with Glue Glider and added three gems. The circles are Spellbinders classics and the sentiment is from JustRite cling stamp set.
