Meadowlark and Grape

My -not so- traditional card celebrates the -to be wedded- couple's home state of Oregon. The state bird and flower image was googled. I printed the image onto card stock twice; one for the background and one for the  die cut bird cage.  The cage is lined up over the second image and popped up. It gives a wonderful 3D action. I also added some handmade flowers and die cut leaves.

Father's Day

My cards today were created for a dear friend.
The first is to honor her adoptive father who also served in WWII and Korea.
I could only think of stars and stripes for this one.
For the second she wanted a golf themed card for her husband.
I like "Hello Handsome" as a twist on a Father's Day or Birthday card.

Card Ingedients:
Hero Arts stamps from the Hello handsome clear stamp set #CL582. All stars and hearts were stamped and fussy cut.

The Graduate

For the Sketch Challenge 438 Splitcoaststampers

Graduation cards are always needed this time of year.
My card today can serve anyone; high school, college, grad school and etc...
I use two Spellbinders classic squares, made a tassel, rolled some paper and tied a black and white twine bow and stamped a background with a perfect sentiment (I think) for a high school graduate.
Life is a Journey and graduating is another step.

Soft Colors of Spring!

 May Flowers

For the Ways to Use it Challenge at SCS the challenge hostess ask for cards with flowers. I almost don’t know how to make a card without flowers.

My heart easel congrats card can be used for a variety of occasions. I may use it as a graduation card, or perhaps I'll change the sentiment to Happy Birthday. I can never have enough Birthday cards.

Card Ingredients: Heart shapes die cut with Sizzix Bigz Die "Heart Bag",
The Rose is Sizzix/Tim Holtz Tattered Pinecone, a dollar doily stamped on vellum and fussy cut,

Certainly Celery, Bermuda Bay, Regal Rose, Neutral of Choice Dessert Option: Words of Wisdom, Encouragement or Best Wishes

I started by stamping a Penny Black Letter Background on white card stock, embossing in white embossing powder, daubing with Tim Holtz' Distress Stains in tattered rose and shabby shutters and mounting rectangles. The Verve sentiment was stamped onto vellum in white ep and backed with white card stock.
