Orange You Glad You're CAS?

I LOVE ORANGE! It makes me happy with most of my senses. I wear the color, eat and drink the fruit and it's my happy color for summer. I've never seen an orange bird but that didn't stop me from stamping with versamark and heat embossing in white on the orange recycled glossy paper.

 The Card Concept 28 

 For Classy & Elegant this week - Bird & Cage and Soft Flora are my ingredients. I painted a wood cage with Annie Sloan chalk paint, added corrugated cardboard to back and arrangement on front and some repurposed raffia. The roses and leaves were touched up with a white marker for a little shabby chicness. I hope you will join us and create with the wonderful inspiration at The Card Concept!

Game 32 LOVE

Welcome all to the new schedule of CAS cards every two weeks! I'm loving it and hope you will as well. Today's card is for someone in my family. I have not decided who yet. I started by die cutting a panel with a Spellbinders heart, adding some left over striped designer paper to the main card base and popped up the top panel. The cute pink button was too hard to resist. I'm hoping the earth tone leaves can help it pass as a card for hubby. The sentiment is by Simon Say's Stamp (handwritten borders) and I fussy cut and added a few sequins.

Love is everywhere and for today's challenge at The Card Concept I want to send Hugs and Kisses to my daughter who's away at school. I was so much inspired by the red to pink ombre and was bound and determined to use all the colors in the inspiration photo. I tend to take things literally so naturally for my 'classy & elegant' design I made flowers and use striped designer paper to say Happy Anniversary. Game 30 Holiday Plaids

I love all the plants and flowers for the holidays. Today Holly is tops. I've used the holly part from a Sizzix Bigz extra long "Candle with Holly & Bow" die. This holly is a good size to be the focal point.
I've enhanced the plaid holly with a fussy cut 'Christmas Holly' by Rubber Stampede colored with copics.
