Birthday Blossoms and Bird

Cherry Blossoms and Robin

For the Splitcoaststamps Inspiration Challenge this week the hostess selected an Inchies Board on Pinterest. I was inspired by this  Robin and Roses needle work. I used heavy weight watercolor paper and die cut the memory box 'nestle bird' four times and glued the stack and watercolored with distress markers. I die cut the Sizzlits 'branch and cherry blossoms' once and watercolored also. I glued an old book page to card stock and die cut with Lil' Inker Anytime Tag three times to glue and stack. The blossoms and printed background were colored with Distress Stains in spun sugar and tumble glass. After watercoloring the blossoms I spritzed with water and pressed in the centers with a stylus and let dry.

  7. Oh my, sweet Angela, I've fallen behind in commenting but I have seen, gazed at and admired your most recent works of art, fully intending to gallery walk. Today's the day! This card is stunning; love the elements you've combined and using the book page as your tag background is brilliant! Classy and sophisticated!

  8. Beautiful card. Did you have a hard time cutting the watercolor paper with the dies?

  9. Hi Lynn, no it was not at all hard to cut the watercolor paper for me. I may have used a 'not so thick' watercolor stock
