For today's post, I wanted to make a card for a sweet friend that invites us to events and whatever. Instead of a bottle of wine why not a nice card and some little note cards that can be added to another hostess' gift!
The "Thank You" sentiment is stamped and heat embossed with white power onto vellum and adhered to the designer paper. The flowers/foliage is stamped onto card stock with DI shabby shutters, accented in centers with DI markers in shabby shutters and forest moss and a Stampendous "Dot Sparklers in Silver" added to the flower centers.
Here's the complete gift set
I purchased a package of 3⅛” square envelopes from my
local stamp store and decided to make 3"x3" note cards and envelop box holder.
You
will need a 4¼” by 11” strip of card stock (the heavier the better).
Score
each long side at ½”.
Score
short side at 3⅜”, 3⅞”, 7¼”, 7⅞”
cut away as indicated above.
Punch wholes for string/ribbon before the sides are adhered with score or redline tape
Products used: Stampendous stamps and vinyl stickers, TH Distress markers, |

Angela this card and gift set just left me breathless!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely fabulous design!
Love this idea of a gift set and yours is just so pretty!
ReplyDeleteYour card set is just stunning! I love how you added detail to the flowers with the markers. What a super gift for someone. As for the question my favourite flower blooming now would be the fields of lupins everywhere. Love them! :-)
ReplyDeleteBreath-taking, jaw-dropping, awe-inspiring GORGEOUS! What a stunning card and gift set! Mega watt smile guaranteed to appear on your friend's face when she receives this! Thoughtful and heart-warming - and a gift that 'keeps on giving'! I'm swooning over those flowers! My favourite flower blooming right now (I live in a typically cool, rainy area, so flowers really take their time to share their lovely blossoms) are marigolds. Love marigolds...

What a great idea. Makes better sense than making some one tipsy. A beautiful Thank You card and and some equally fabulous and usable invitations, hint, hint, are a great way of saying thank you. They even come with their own envelope boxes. Impressive Angela. Bravo and Bravo.

Just beautiful Angela! Being winter in my neck of the woods, the one thing that is blooming right now is a wattle tree in the backyard. It is a profusion of yellow pom poms, and set against its silvery grey-green foliage, it is quite stunning! (Unless you suffer from hay fever, whereby you would hate it! ;)
ReplyDeleteForgot to tell you that my favorite flower blooming right now is my deep orange lilies. When they were planted about 6 years ago I almost lost them. In fact I planted 4 varieties and only this one survived. I dug them up replanted them in their own bed and from there they just flourished. This year there are over 200 blooms in a circular area 5' across. Each bloom is 5 to 6" across. It is spectacular.
ReplyDeleteHi, Angela. Your card is a winner - I love it!!!! Those flowers are just stunning!!! And thanks for the lovely gift idea - I love doing these kind of gifts and this is an idea I will surely use in future!!
ReplyDeleteBeing winter in our part of the world at the moment there aren't that many plants flowering but my favourite one flowering now ...ever heard of the Protea? South Africa's national flower and part of the fynbos biome here. This is a spectacular flower and the sunbirds love it for it's nectar. The one flowering at the moment is the Protea repens. Lovely soft pink and white flower with a soft hair-like 'beard' in the middle. A true beauty!!
Even the SA cricket team is known as the Proteas!!!
Your project is amazing, how I LOVE the green flowers
