AAA Cards BLOG HOP IS HERE!

For today's post, I wanted to make a card for a sweet friend that invites us to events and whatever. Instead of a bottle of wine why not a nice card and some little note cards that can be added to another hostess' gift!
The "Thank You" sentiment is stamped and heat embossed with white power onto vellum and adhered to the  designer paper. The flowers/foliage is stamped onto card stock with DI shabby shutters, accented in centers with DI markers in shabby shutters and forest moss and a Stampendous "Dot Sparklers in Silver" added to the flower centers.

Here's the complete gift set

I purchased a package of 3⅛” square envelopes from my
local stamp store and decided to make  3"x3" note cards and envelop box holder.

You will need a 4¼” by 11” strip of card stock (the heavier the better).
Score each long side at ½”.
Score short side at 3⅜”, 3⅞”, 7¼”, 7⅞”
cut away as indicated above.
Punch wholes for string/ribbon before the sides are adhered with score or redline tape

Products used: Stampendous stamps and vinyl stickers,
TH Distress markers,

Sunflower Thank You Game 8

Card Ingredients: Sizzix/Hero Arts stamp & die cut set #657852, WPlus9 "Defining Words" stamp and sentiment.

For this week's challenge at AAA Cards, we are to be INSPIRED by Vicki's card. Of course it's inspiring in every way and I chose the flower as mine. I first stamped the background script, heat embossed, masked and sponged the section with distress inks in honey, spiced marmalade and fired brick. The sunflower was stamped twice die cut and second layer fussy cut to pop up. Copics were used to color the leaves and flowers.

Hello Friend - AAA Cards Game 6

AAA Cards - Game 6

We are flying through the weeks and each brings a new and fun challenge. In my first card with hollyhocks I turned the sketch upside down. The colors are just fantastic and graduating lengths make the strips interesting.

I.O. hollyhock die, Verve sentiment, Spellbinders petite oval

This card can be used for anyone. We're thankful for friends, family, co-workers and etc...
Memory box precious stars, Hero Arts sentiment

Show us your interpretation of this weeks sketch! Also, check for prizes!

Handsome Tie

I have been using up bits and pieces of scraps and flowers and ribbons and etc.. on my desk all week in cards and it finally hit me what to do for a masculine card. My husband has all kinds of "mansome" shirts in great colors. (He's not afraid of color - even pink). This was the very last piece of some great navy ribbon from another project and the green jeweled brad is to represent maybe a tie clip or cufflink. This is the way his shirts look when they come back from the cleaners all folded in plastic and ready for travel.

Create a Guy card with the following catch...you can't use kraft as a color at all,
AND you have to include some sort of ribbon.

Sending Happy Thoughts

Seize the Sketch #21 by Lori Turner

This is a lovely versatile sketch by Lori. I've used two Spellbinders classic rectangles small to die cut the frame for the WPlus9 sentiment. The flowers and leaves were stamped and die cut previously from various sets. The bottom border is a Cuttlebug-Anna griffin embossing folder.
I think that the colorful stripes just screams happiness!
Have a wonderful day!
