Hair Bow Birthday card/gift

My card today is for two challenges over at Splitcoaststampers.

This card came together quickly. I had previously punched these golden circles and just adhered them to a 3.25” sq piece of white card stock, mounted on another white piece and popped up.

The hair bow is made by Pipinka for more info go to her ETSY shop. I thought that this would be a perfect card for a little girl with gift attached.

Golden Birthday...

Inspiration Challenge #376 at Splitcoaststampers is from the website~ Limoges Box Collector
I was inspired by this beautiful box:

I stamped the Hero Arts large Flower pattern background in versamark and sprinkled gold embossing powder and heated to make this birthday card Sparkle. I colored the flowers with brown tone copics. The sentiment is Hero Arts stamped in Distress ink forest moss.

Black and White Hello

CFC90:  Create a CAS project using black and white, plus one color of your choice
Check out the challenge this week at CAS-UAL FRIDAYS:

In a effort to be whimsical I curved the harsh original straight cut of the houndstooth dp and the clear stamp onto the acrylic block. I used my sewing machine to make the piercing and the zig zag stitch. Sometimes friends drop off your radar and a "hello" card is a way back in.

Card ingredients: Sizzix/Hero Arts stamp & die-cut set for the flowers and Hero Arts "Every Day Sayings" for the sentiment.
The houndstooth designer paper is from the Recollections Black and White Printed card stock pack. Also, Recollections gemstone brad.

Bridal Shower Favor Boxes

I’ve made 40 bridal shower favor boxes in lavender and white for a friend and thought that one birdcage favor box would go along with the heart closure boxes nicely.

I used Sizzix Pro die “box/heart closure” and Tim Holtz Caged Bird. I trimmed the heart box at the top so that the cage would fit. Tim Holtz/Sizzix tattered pinecone makes a mighty fine rose. The sentiment is from Verve.

Sizzix Bigz Pro Box w/Heart Closure die (die cut on Sizzix Big Shot Pro)
Sizzix Tim Holtz Alternations Caged Bird

Trace around cage at top so cage will fit
Fussy cut to match shape of cage top
I used 1/2" red liner tape to tab to close sides of box

I used 1/8" red liner tape around cage to adhere
Punch small holes and add  ribbon

Purple Bliss

CAS - Colours & Sketches Challenge #12 - Sketch

My card today is for the Clean and Simple challenge above. I'm always in need of a wedding or shower card and wanted to add to my depleting stash. I have a friend whose niece is having a shower and the color sceme is lavender.
I've used stamps for Stampin Up "Just Believe" cling set (the circles) and the sentiment is from Hero Arts "Everyday Sayings".
I wanted the circles to show because they are so pretty and therefore, added a vellum panel over the embossed white card stock (Sizzix paisley embossing folder). I then stitched because it's hard to use adhesives with vellum. The flower is Tim Holts tattered pinecone roll more like a rose.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Using a few very nice gifts from a friend I quickly made this card for my husband.
The focal charm and the heart accent are the perfect combination with the masculine designers papers.
I turned the sketch and used the heart accent for the oval.

Orchids

What a romantic site!
I was inspired by two orchid plants from An Angel at My Table websit for the Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoaststampers.

I used a Marvy pansy punch to make the orchids by trimming the punched pieces to look more like the orchid petals. I also used the memory box tulip petals dies for the centers of the orchids. All parts were punched out of shimmer white card stock and painted with “twinkling H2O’s Pink Azalea” and LuminArte Black Cherry and Sunflower for the center portions. Several styluses were used and a QuicKutz cookie cutter Vine die.

This card is also for the
Mixed Media Challenge at SCS - MIX2 It's Not Hard To Resist
Embossing Resist technique

I first stamped the damask background onto white card stock and heat embossed with white powder. I then stamped the script and sponged the entire panel with Canary and Pink inks from pads.
