Good morning!  It's my last post as June's Guest Designer over at Really Reasonable Ribbons and  I wanted to say thank you Bonnie for inviting me.

 After die cutting two layers of the SB Labels Eighteen (the K& Company center panel) I used my "this bow will never fall off your project" technique to secure the Sheer Two Tone Stripe 1/2" Olive/Celery ribbon. I then tucked the loose ends up and added the Sheer Ombre 5/8" Kiwi/Watermelon ribbon florets with glue dots. (see flower tutorial below)

Good morning! I'm guest designer today over at Really Reasonable Ribbon for June and loving the June Club assortment. 

Today I've used the 1/2" white seam binding for this Holiday card. 

Card ingredients: Spellbinders Beaded, Crown and Classic circles and Lotus Pendent. Stampin' Up Modern label punch, Queen & co. "Denim" self adhesive Rhinestones Duos, Recollections blue gem flower, frosted lace stickles, Creative Memories designer paper, Bazzill dark blue card stock and white tagboard. Clean And Simple project using acetate or vellum

The acetate tag measures 4.5" x 5.5". I never throw away large acetate packaging. It beats buying it again. I just used the Sizzix Bigz Layered Elegance die for the base and Spellbinders Labels Four for the center. I first stamped the flower and heat embossed in white and sponged with distress Inks in tumbled glass, wild honey and shabby shutters - added an eyelet because it's not easy to adhere with glue to acetate. The sentiment is a clear sticker from EK success.


What a great way for a hoarder (me) to use up saved refuse.

I love stamping on vellum because it's really easy to stamp, heat emboss, to cut out and it is a little more forgiving on perfection of cutting. I used Verve's "Beautiful You" set flower and Martha Steward's "fire opal luster glass microbeads" for the centers.

Red, White & Blue Challenge #50

I thought a card for my husband to be given to him by our daughter would be fun to make. He is the kindess and most loving person I've ever met and very supportive of all we do and always there to encourage our daughter. Now that she's turned 21 she is really seeing the strengths, the courage and the confidence in herself.

The beautiful ribbons, from the June Ribbon Club Assortment, are perfect for this project. I used the 5/8" Navy Satin with Silver Metallic Edge and the Diamond Satin Navy together and the combo reminds me of neckties and the Diamond Satin Ruby Red as accent. The silver brads are the cufflinks. 

This card is also for the WT379~ Man up (6/14/12)  Ways To Use It Challenge over at Splitcoaststampers to make a masculine card.

Color Challenge CC379 - A CRAZY, BREEZY, COBBLER - 6/12/12  by Karen Barber  who keeps us on our creative toes/fingers

Sketch Challenge CS389 {6/13/12} by Korin (sweetnsassystamps) – beautiful sketch!

I love all sorts of flowers and I wanted to find one that has the CAJUN CRAZE and CHERRY COBBLER colors. I used the closest color I had to BAJA BREEZE and LUCKY LIMEADE.

I used a punch bunch Mega Lily Petals (which has four sized petals) punched six times and used the largest ones for my lily. I used a large stylus to stir and cup each petal, painted with spiced pumpkin twinkling H2O, and distress ink fired brick to get as close to cajun and cherry as possible. The stamen is lucky limeade card stock.

The color combo in the
Club package this month is Red, White and Blue! 

Just a half mile from our house is the "Pickin' Patch". 

Each spring we can go and pick our own strawberries that are, of course,

 so sweet and fragrant. Then we must have strawberry shortcake.

This was the perfect time to use the 3/4" wide Red Satin Horizontal Stripe  from the RRR June Club pack! It's so rich in color and texture and so perfect with the strawberries. 

I also used the ribbon to make the back panel corners.

I use the pre-colored digital image, gingham dp and sentiment from Doodle Pantry.

PILLOW BOX BIRTHDAY CARD

Good Sunday morning everyone! I'm pleased to be Guest Designer for June
Really Reasonable Ribbon's Ramblings.

I wanted to share my Pillow Box Birthday card using
 Really Reasonable Ribbon's Rose Silk ribbon with you.
 It's so easy to work with and is just so soft and beautiful! I love it.

My daughter is turning 21 and I've been making a series of cards for her. 

She saw this one and liked it so this is one of three that she will receive from 

her father, her dog and me.

PILLOW BOX Quilting Technique

 I used Spellbinders Wonky Rectangles -largest and second largest dies
Italian floral paper (thin is better),
one layer of washi paper quilting foam and
one piece of cardboard (or chipboard).

Trace the smaller rectangle on the back side of the floral paper,
cut corners and notches
 glue foam to card board and
add glue on bottom of cardboard to adhere floral paper.

Press the tabs into the glue around the bottom of cardboard  

Secure the fan folded piece until able to tie with thin cord/string

Tie the floret to the band and adjust to hide the cord.

Tis the season of Weddings! I don't want to be caught without a card for that very day. This can also be used for Graduations and so on... My new favorite color is cool gray for summer. My daughter is looking for a new color for her bedroom and wants something dark. She'll be 21 years old soon and has become very sophisticated. She's very urban chic. Maybe she would like gray!

Card Ingredients: Bazzill gray, Pow glitter paper (under the belly band) Creative Memories stripe shimmer card stock for Vase and Paper Adventures "Marble White" for flowers. Sizzix embossing folder for bottom layer, Sizzlits branch in green bazzill, punch bunch Vase. Recollections rhinestones, Verve sentiment, versamark and white opaque embossing powder.

Show us your Clean And Simple stylings with bling.  We're looking for gemstones, glitter, anything that will make your projects sparkle.

Sympathy cards have been needed more than I care to make them but they let those who need them know we care. CAS style I think is perfect for sympathy cards which should be soothing and peaceful.

I used two stamps from Verve's "Forever in Our Hearts" set. I first stamped the fern in Memento Bamboo Leaves , then the sentiment and masked an area with a rectangle cut out. I shaded with distress inks tumbled glass. I added crystal stickles to uplift and as a sign of healing and light.

Flowers and Ribbon Theme Challenge at RRR

I am so pleased to be Guest Designer for June at Really Reasonable Ribbon Ramblings

and today the theme is Flowers and Ribbon or Trim.

I made this treat box for my niece who has received her Masters in Business Administration and is the first in our family to do so! We are so proud of her. Her favorite colors are pink and green and, therefore, the perfect combo of the Kiwi Watermelon Sheer Ombre for the flower buds and the Olive/Celery sheer two tone strip for the bow work well.
